The private, not for profit Bausch Foundation (Bausch Stiftung, Neu-Kaliß) was established by Dr. Thomas Bausch in 2007. The purpose of the Foundation supports art and cultural events, promotes education and science, and fosters the preservation of natural and architectural monuments. The geographic focus of the Bausch Foundation´s activities to date was in New Kaliß and Berlin. The projects co-funded by the Foundation include, for example, the reconstruction of natural and historic monuments, the organization of concerts, the publication of an edition of the work of philosopher Hans Jonas and the support of various scholarships, including one for storytelling.
